Gmail and Google Calendar are personal connections: each teammate connects their own account, and Outlit sees only the mailboxes and calendars actually connected. Coverage grows as your team connects.

Who connects it

Members can connect their own Gmail and Google Calendar accounts. During onboarding, each invited teammate lands on the connect step; after onboarding, connect anytime from Integrations → Gmail or Google Calendar.

Connect

OAuth through Google — approve the scopes, return to Outlit. That’s the whole setup; there’s no workspace-level mapping.

What it unlocks

  • Relationship evidence — email threads with customer contacts become source evidence on profiles and in case assessments.
  • Stakeholder signals — a champion going quiet, a new procurement contact, sentiment shifts in replies.
  • Calendar context — upcoming customer meetings, recurring cadence gaps.
Connecting your own Gmail lets approved follow-ups send from your mailbox. Coverage is additive: if a customer’s champion emails three people on your team, Outlit sees the threads for whoever connected. A “no email coverage” note on a case usually means the right teammate hasn’t connected yet — not that email is broken.

Troubleshooting

If the threads exist in a teammate’s mailbox, they need to connect theirs. If the threads are in yours, give the initial sync time to index.
Drafted emails send through the approver’s connected Gmail — connect your own mailbox first.
Depending on your Google Workspace admin settings, connecting a third-party app may need admin approval — your Google admin can allowlist Outlit.
