> ## Agent Instructions
> Outlit is the product that monitors customers and completes approved customer work. The customer context interfaces are the API, CLI, MCP server, and skills. Canonical references on this site: /api-reference/introduction for API concepts and authentication, /openapi.json for the public API contract, /cli/overview for the CLI, /ai-integrations/mcp for MCP. Prefer the `outlit` CLI or MCP tools for agent tasks; cite page sources when answering.

# Integrations overview

> What to connect, who connects it, and how monitoring readiness reflects coverage.

Integrations are how Outlit sees your customers. Connect sources once — Outlit continuously monitors them and surfaces churn and renewal items in Attention. Expansion evidence appears on customer profiles and renewal briefs. The Outlit Browser SDK adds the website journey before a person becomes a known contact; product analytics integrations import product activity into Outlit.

Open **Integrations** in the sidebar to browse the catalog, connect, and check each connection's status.

## What to connect, roughly in order

A billing source and a product-activity source provide important monitoring inputs — but whether monitoring reports **active** depends on coverage *and* the responsibility being enabled on your workspace. The Churn status card is the source of truth for readiness and what's still missing.

## Who connects what

* **Admins** connect workspace-wide sources — billing, CRM, Slack, product analytics, support.
* **Members** can connect their own accounts — Gmail and personal Granola keys are per-person by design.
* Each teammate connecting Gmail adds coverage: Outlit only sees the mailboxes actually connected.

## Connection methods

| Method | Used by | What it looks like |
| ------------------------------ | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **OAuth** | Stripe, CRMs, Gmail, Google Calendar, Slack, Gong | Redirect to the provider, approve scopes, return |
| **API key or service account** | PostHog, Mixpanel (service-account credentials), Fireflies, Granola, Pylon, Autumn, Clerk, Supabase, Stripe (restricted key) | Paste credentials in the setup form |
| **SDK install** | Outlit Browser SDK and Outlit server SDKs | An engineer adds the browser snippet or server package — see [Tracking](/tracking/quickstart) |

## Setup tasks

Some sources aren't done after credentials — the connect flow asks for mapping:

* **CRM integrations** — map the pipeline: which open stages are renewal deals, which closed stages count as won/lost outcomes, and which deal field carries the renewal date.
* **Mixpanel** — confirm the account-property mapping that joins events to customer accounts before import starts.
* **Stripe** — webhook setup may be a separate step from credentials.
* **Slack** — choose channels and set a notification destination (Settings → Destinations).

## Status and troubleshooting

The Integrations page shows each connection's state — connected, syncing, error, or stale. If a connection errors or goes stale, it shows up in churn monitoring's **Reduced coverage** with a link back here.

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Connected but no data appears">
    Historical imports run in the background after connection, and completion time varies by source and history. When data is missing, check the connection's sync status on the Integrations page and the customer's Coverage tab.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="A connection shows an error">
    Usually an expired token or revoked key. Reconnect the source — Outlit asks you to reconnect, and reconnecting doesn't lose previously imported data.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I don't see the option to connect">
    Workspace-wide sources need an admin. Members see the catalog but can only connect personal-scope accounts.

Other catalog entries (Mixpanel, Autumn, Clerk, Supabase Auth) use their setup flow — paste credentials or start OAuth, then finish any mapping the form asks for. [Outlit SDKs](/tracking/how-it-works) are installed in your code.
